ANNAPOLIS , Md. (WBOC/AP)- A Maryland board approved spending $14.4 million Wednesday to buy more than 4,769 acres of privately owned forest land in Worcester County, a deal that has been questioned because of its cost at a time when the state is facing a budget crisis.
