AK Steel Layoffs and the Local Economy (WSAZ NewsChannel 3 West Virginia)
This Saturday, 650 AK Steel employees are slated for layoff. The company hopes to bring them back when business picks up -- maybe in January, maybe later. The steelworkers -- who hail from Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia -- make up just a part of the nation's economic challenge.
